If approved, Sales Tax H will continue to fund critical projects and improvements in the following categories. The sales tax is estimated to generate $28 million over 5 years.

public works

$16,520,000 (59%)
City-County joint projects, street overlay program, transit and airport support as match to federal funds, sidewalk repair and improvements, stormwater improvement and rehab, and local roadway grant matching.

public safety

$5,600,000 (20%)
Fire station renovations, fire apparatus lease payments and equipment replacement
Police field equipment, building renovations and upgrades, communications equipment, and more.

Parks

$2,800,000 (10%)
Recreation facility improvements, park improvements and upgrades, greenway trail maintenance and improvements, and more.

Technology

$560,000 (2%)
Computers, software, and peripherals, network hardware, digital imagery, GIS support, and more.

Contigency

$2,520,000 (9%)
Supports emerging projects, economic development opportunities, and any cost variances are other identified projects and improvements. 

city-county projects

Plans for 2022-2027 include reconstruction of the High Street Viaduct, conversion of Monroe Street to two-way from Dunklin to CRMC, and improvements to Stadium Blvd corridor. These total $11 million with the city and county each contributing $5.5 million.
